MILLER COUNTY ARES

Lewis, KB5IOC, and myself, N5LQV, made our first Parks On The Air activation from Historic Old Washington State Park during their Jonquil Festival this past weekend (March 18, 2023).  After getting set up, we learned basic operations for POTA from the LA HOG members before setting out to find a clear frequency and putting out our call.  Though hampered somewhat by cold, windy conditions, we were able to complete 38 QSOs before yielding to the elements.  All in all, a very enjoyable outing, and an activity we plan to repeat.
