Field Day 2018

The Miller County ARES group held Field Day 2018 at the Hempstead County Courthouse in Hope, Arkansas to assist Hempstead County in forming an ARES team.  The event was open to any Amateur Radio Operator, or anyone interested in "Ham" radio.  During the event we were able to visit with local Amateur Radio Operators, as well as prospective new Hams.  Many contacts were made for the contest, and a good time was had by all.

FSARC Ham-Fest
Texarkana, AR.

The Four States Amateur Radio Club held its annual Ham-Fest May 2, 2015, and the Miller County ARES group was in attendance handing out information, meeting hams, and recruiting new members.  Some of us even found time to look thru the gear up for sale, and make a few purchases.  In addition to adding to our roster, we got to speak with other area ARES coordinators, and even had a visit from the LA ARRL Assistant Section Manager.  A productive outing enjoyed by us all.

Field Day 2013

The annual Field Day event was held on June 22'nd with both the Miller County ARES group, and the Miller County OEM participating at Smith Park off Hwy 237.  The OEM conducted a Search and Rescue training excersise with ARES assisting in communications, followed by both groups working on the Field Day contest preparations.  The dual event was a qualified success with the "victim" being located quickly, and the ARES group's contest entry coming in second in its class for the state of Arkansas.
